Latest News December 23, 2008 Joint letter from the IGC and MVEIRB Letter to JRP for the MGP November 26, 2008 Joint letter from the IGC and MVEIRB to the JRP for the MGP JS News In June of 2000, the Joint Secretariat (JS) released its first bi-annual newsletter, the JS BULLETIN. In December of 2002 the face of the JS newsletter changed with the help of Aasman Design and Commonground was born. The launch of Commonground also included the results of an Inuvialuit art contest that was held by the JS. The purpose of this contest was to gather drawings of wildlife and Inuvialuit interacting with wildlife to incorporate in the future design of Commonground issues. See the Winter 2002 edition (Volume 3 Issue 2) for more about the new look. This newsletter is published in June and December of each year and includes articles from the Inuvialuit Game Council, the Environmental Impact Review Board, the Environmental Impact Screening Committee, the Fisheries Joint Management Committee, the Wildlife Management Advisory Council (Northwest Territories) and the Wildlife Management Advisory Council (North Slope). Each newsletter features articles on topics of current interest in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region as well as updates on the Hunters and Trappers Committees, the Community Support Unit and the Geographic Information System services.
